The apartment was fairly clean and had location right by the bus station and train station, transport and shops and nearby shops.

We stayed for 2 night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was NICE in the middle of the city, and had everything you needed. Plus it was just next door to train station, the town centre and nearby shops. Such touches as a work desk, coffee and tea making equipment, and a TV set were useful.

I found the overall cleanliness of the house to be lacking. the bathroom and kitchen were unhygienic and emitted unpleasant odors. As someone who values cleanliness, I refrained from using the kitchen throughout my seven-day stay.

Appreciated the adults-only setting and fun game of darts. The luggage storage and locker room were super handy. Plus, the no smoking policy made for a refreshing atmosphere. The owner assured me he'd address my concerns!

Despite expressing my concerns, the owner mentioned that most clients are male and don't prioritize the same standards of cleanliness. I hope they take my feedback seriously and make improvements.

Stayed at the "House of Horrors". Shared kitchen smelled like the sewers, bathroom was a germ fest. But hey, at least the garden was nice.

This double room with a balcony at Basildon House is the epitome of relaxation. The moment I stepped onto the balcony, I felt like I was transported to a serene oasis. The kitchenware and tea/coffee maker in the room were a wonderful bonus, allowing me to indulge in a homemade breakfast before starting my day. As a solo traveler who values tranquility and convenience, this room met all my expectations and more.

Honestly, the only thing I wasn't crazy about was the color scheme in the room. But hey, that's just my personal preference.
